Salmon Arm Silverbacks forward Mike Hammond has a point in each of his three games with his new team. Overall the 1990 born center is on a 13 game point streak good for 20 points overall. The Victoria resident is in his fourth season in the BCHL and started with two in his hometown with the Grizzlies starting the last two seasons with the Cowichan Valley Capitals. Unfortunately for the 5'10" 170 pounder he was unable to play in the Royal Bank Cup when Victoria hosted in 2009 due to injury.

Hammond discusses being shocked at being traded, great fans in Duncan, adjusting to new linemates, the importance of the scoring race, and playing one game in the WHL.

The 1991 born netminder has also recorded victories in five of his last six games played after starting the season 2-5. The Rocky Mountain House, Alberta resident discusses the d-core leading the way for the Silverbacks, gaining confidence as the season progresses, and improving in practice.

Salmon Arm Silverbacks' forward Devin Gannon started the season on fire with 34 points in his first 26 games but has only six points in his last 14 contests. The 1991 born center has played on a line with Matt Cassidy and Cody Michelle for most of the season and now with the acquisition of Mike Hammond will have at least one new linemate in hopes of returning to his early season success.

Zulinick/Kehler/Pierce Audio

Salmon Arm Silverbacks forward Morgan Zulinick has played in four games since returning from injury and has collected four points. The 1994 born center formed instant chemistry with Devin Muller and Paul DeJersey in the line's first game together. The Kamloops resident missed 16 games over a seven week period from the start of November to the end of December. The Wisconsin University commit also missed six contests early in the season due to injury.

The 5'11" 180 pounder discusses a big night for the team & himself, a cautious return to the lineup, watching from the stands for 16 games, getting some powerplay time, and instant chemistry with Muller & DeJersey.









Salmon Arm Silverbacks General Manager & Head Coach Tim Kehler discusses another complete game, playing well with a big lead heading into the final period, a great first game for the DeJersey/Muller/Zulinick line, keeping their composure in a chippy affair, forwards battling for powerplay time, and if any hostility remains between two teams that line brawled each other three months ago.









Merritt Centennials General Manager & Head Coach Luke Pierce's squad started the season terribly slow at 1-9-0-3 but since have went 15-10-0-2 including 8-3 in their last 11 games. Pierce discusses an injury update on his bus, improving as the season goes along, a group proud to represent Merritt, adding a defenceman before January 10th, and being a defensive minded team.

Salmon Arm Silverbacks defenceman Charlie Vasaturo is playing some of his best hockey of the season. Recently paired with fellow 1990 born rearguard Jayson Reardon the two mesh well together. The Sewell, New Jersey resident leads the team in penalty minutes with 53.

The 6'2" 200 pounder discusses the team not worried about a 3-5-2 last ten games, his chemistry with Reardon, and the return of Jersey Shore.

Langley Chiefs General Manager & Head Coach Harvey Smyl is in his 18th season with the organization. Every season his troops have made the playoffs including three league championships and two Royal Bank Cup appearances. The 48-year-old has also won four coach of the year awards and was a former player in the AJHL before playing at Michigan State University.

Smyl discusses his team's 3-0 record since Christmas, struggles after a great start to the season, his offensive players playing defense, and how busy he expects to be before January 10th.

Salmon Arm Silverbacks forward Jaryd Ten Vaanholt is currently on a three game point streak good for five points overall. The 1991 born winger also has eight points in his last six games and has found great chemistry with Bryce Gervais & Brandon Mistal while also seeing time on the powerplay. Among rookies in the BCHL the West Vancouver resident ranks fourth in points with 35 points.

The 6'1" 195 pounder disscusses playing a big role in a big victory, the chemistry on his line, and exceeding his own expectations.
