Salmon Arm Silverbacks defenceman Dustin Cave is coming off an eventful weekend where he recorded his first point and first fight of the season. In Vernon on Friday night the Tappen resident assisted on the tying goal on the way to a 3-2 victory and the next night down two goals his fisticuffs sparked his team to a third period comeback for a 4-3 win. Born in 1994 the rearguard is the second youngest player on his team behind only Morgan Zulinick.
Last season the 5'11" 190 pounder played for the UFA Bisons in the Alberta Midget Hockey League where he had seven assists in 34 games.
