In Salmon Arm the Silverbacks (17-8) won their fourth straight game with a 5-4 victory over the Penticton Vees (15-8-0-1). Jumping out to a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes the 'Backs squandered a multi-goal lead for the third time in three games against the Vees this season and began the third period tied at three. In the final frame SA went back up by two and held on late for their fourth straight one-goal victory. Overall on the season the club is now 10-1 in one-goal games while 10-2 at the Sunwave Centre. All five of the Gorilla's goals were of highlight reel quality.
In Victoria the Quesnel Millionaires (6-17-1-1) recorded points in back-to-back games for the first time since the first two games of the season with a 4-3 overtime loss against the Grizzlies (14-9-0-1). Quesnel recovered from trailing 1-0 and 2-1 to hold a brief 3-2 lead in the second period before Victoria tied the game two minutes later and the two teams played the next 25 minutes scoreless. With the OT defeat the Mills leave the Silverbacks as the only team in the league without an extra time defeat.
