“Their goalies outplayed our goalies and that was the bottom line, we just couldn’t finish,” summed up Kings associate coach Stew Malgunas.
The win left the Mills (8-11-0-1) in sole possession of sixth place, one point ahead of the Spruce Kings (6-10-1-3).
“They had a strong third period, but the first two periods we totally dominated,” said Malgunas.
The Kings announced Friday they have traded 20-year-old defenceman Ryan Hill to the Port Hope Predators of the Ontario league.
