Pistone glad to be rid of a kong-sized monkey

But after going 13 games to start the season without a point, a goal and an assist last week lightened his load.

"It feel lighter. I got that guy off, finally," said the speedy Pistone, who had eight goals and 10 assists in 39 games in his rookie season last year.

"It was mentally tough. Being in your hometown, you get a little more flak than some of the guys out of town."
