After managing only two wins during a disappointing five-game homestand that ended last Friday with a 4-3 loss to the Alberni Valley Bulldogs, the Caps took their show on the road, winning 5-2 in Port Alberni on Saturday and 4-3 in Victoria on Sunday.
The Caps benefitted on Saturday and Sunday from excellent goaltending performances. On Saturday, Kiefer Smiley stopped 25 of 27 Bulldogs shots, while Sunday saw newcomer Marco Raimondo make 36 saves on 39 shots to earn his first win in the BCHL.
