The two attended Vancouver's Killarney high school together, and Pighin was at Lucic's signing party. Lucic wanted to see his friend find his way back to the WHL -- but in Giants colours, of course.
"The opportunity that's going to be presented to him is different than what it was in Red Deer," said May, who has watched Pighin since his bantam days. "I feel that we can offer him the opportunity to utilize the skills that he has, and I'm not sure that was the case before.
