Coastal Conference log jam: Six points separate six teams

Although Surrey has iced a productive powerplay and managed 84 goals through 22 games, their back end is what ails them.

Through 22 games, they allowed 91 goals and owned a 75.6 per cent rating on the penalty kill, which was good for dead last in the BCHL.

Four of the top six scorers in the Coastal conference play their home games in the Cowichan Valley Community Centre.

The veteran-filled Langley Chiefs have scored the most goals in the conference thus far.

Unfortunately for Harvey Smyl’s squad, they’ve also allowed the most goals in the conference.

In 22 games, the Grizzlies have only allowed 65 goals—second in the league only to Nanaimo—and scored 70.
