He saw limited ice time in his freshman season last year, playing in 18 games (one goal, one assist), It made sense that he would gain more ice time and bigger responsibility with the team as a sophomore, but that's not how things worked out.
St. Cloud State is now in the rearview mirror but the Nanaimo Minor Hockey product is entertaining thoughts of a return to the college ranks next fall. He's effectively a redshirt player this season and will have three seasons of college eligibility remaining.
"I still have hopes and dreams of getting another college scholarship," said Gale. "Hopefully the CCHA or Hockey East, somewhere out east. I'd like to experience a new place."
