So, while many have been anticipating this clash of the Interior’s best, both teams will be missing some of their best charges. Trevor Nill, Hextall and Zac Dalpe will be out for the Vees, while Damon Kipp and Derek Lee will be MIA for the SilverBacks. All five players are representing team Canada West at the World Jr. A Challenge.
There will be some foreign faces in the Vees lineup this weekend as Dustin Johnson (Summerland Sting), Mitch Lebreche (Summerland Sting) and Dexter Hamilton (Beaver Valley will all be up from the KIJHL. Bryon Maxwell a Vancouver Major Midget AP will also be joining the squad.
All four players are forwards and will plug the holes left by the trio of Vees off to the World Junior A Challenge. Keep your eyes on Dustin Johnson the Pentictonite. The 17-year-old leads the KIJHL in scoring averaging over two points per game.
