Start of a new month...and season?

With changes abundant at Silverbacks' camp the first of November almost feels like the start of a new season. New GM/Head Coach Rylan Ferster made his arrival to Salmon Arm and his presence was immediately felt at the team's practice. Some of the biggest changes were the amount of skating the guys had to endure and the teaching of the small albeit very important fundamentals/details.

The team will have its work cut out for them this weekend in playing the Vipers and Vees. Let alone these two teams are right behind the 'Backs in the standings and playing great hockey but also throw in the fact of only one practice under the new regime. It is expected that Salmon Arm put forth great efforts both nights and hopefully not be too confused/lost on the ice with new instructions.

Also had the chance to sit down with Randy Williams today for an extended conversation. Randy feels that although the team has a great record that over the past few weeks the squad was not getting better and other teams in the league were quickly catching up. Again join the Silverbacks broadcast Friday night at 6:45 PM to hear an in-depth interview with the owner of the team on http://www.sasilverbacks.com/. Rylan Ferster will also join the broadcast of the game in Vernon against the Vipers.
