Silverbacks Recap

Although out shooting the Vees 28-20 the Silverbacks did not generate many solid scoring chances and that is a big credit to the Penticton team. A team that was much different defensively that the last time they played in the Sunwave Center giving up six goals. Credit also to Salmon Arm for allowing only the 20 shots and only giving up a few opportunities as well. The difference in the game was the Vees made the 'Backs pay f0r the few mistakes they made, including scoring a power play goal. Whereas the Gorillas did not score on their power plays and played a team that had nearly no mistakes. Alex Evin was solid in net and the communication between his defensemen and himself is very good as Evin was great in playing the puck from behind his own net and starting breakouts.

As great as the game was it should only get better November 16th when these two teams meet in Penticton with the World Junior "A" Challenge over and both teams at full strength.
