Slow starts troubling Kings

by Glen Gibbs of the Powell River Peak

Kings typically play very good second and third periods. They did that against Nanaimo and evened up the shots on goal at 22 apiece by game's end. Kings had several great scoring chances, but Kyle Bodie's goal at 19:10 of the third period was all they could muster.

Kyle Leahy is expected to miss the next three games for his match penalty late in the game against Nanaimo. Although the subject of discussion is unclear, there was a heated exchange after the game in the hallway between the two coaches. Goaltender Chris Rawlings suffered a bruise to his shoulder but will be ready this weekend.
