Kings get even with Vipers

“Our special teams played well and we had to be ready for a team like that because they lot of firepower up front,” said Christian. “We finished our checks every time we had a chance to hit them and Damien (Kings goalie Ketlo) played really well, making the saves and controlling the rebounds well and they gave is the confidence up front to go and play some hockey.”

“You can’t expect to win hockey games when you take (11) penalties,” said Vipers head coach Mark Ferner. “We had an opportunity to win the game but we have to be smarter and not put ourselves in a bad situation taking that many penalties. We didn’t fight hard enough to find loose pucks and get traffic in front of their net.”
