The Warriors have 19 of a possible 20 points against teams below them in the Interior Conference standings.
But when they look up, they see just one victory in six games.
“I think we give them a little more praise than we should, the higher teams,” said Walrod, an 18-year-old Westbank native. “We come up against the lower teams with a lot of jump . . . but, I think, we‘ve got to come in with confidence against higher teams, come out hitting and just get them off their game.
“We make progress for two weeks, and then we go around and play like a bunch of peewees for a week,” Merritt assistant coach Bill Birks said. “I don‘t even know what to say.”
