Night 10

In Quesnel at the Twin Arenas the Vernon Vipers scored four times on the man advantage to defeat the Millionaires 5-2. Finishing four-for-nine on the power play the Vipers also did not allow a goal while short handed in eight Quesnel oppurtunites.

In Prince George at the Coliseum the Penticton Vees broke open a close game late to defeat the Spruce Kings 6-2. Leading 3-2 the Vees scored three times in the final three minutes including twice into an empty net.

In Powell River at Hap Parker Arena the Kings scored the only goal of the game 52 seconds in to defeat the Trail Smoke Eaters 1-0. Michael Garteig recorded his second shutout in as many games with 22 saves while counterpart Kiefer Smiley turned aside 43 shots in a losing cause.

In Victoria at Bear Mountain Arena the Grizzlies scored twice on the power play to defeat the Westside Warriors 3-1. Matt Ginn was sharp in the Victoria net stopping 31 shots and only allowing a penalty shot goal against.

In Coquitlam at the Sports Centre the Express scored three times on the power play to defeat the Merritt Centennials 5-1. Luke Hernandez was strong in goal for Coquitlam making 29 saves and only having his shutout bid broken with three minutes remaining.

In Duncan at Island Savings Centre the Langley Chiefs were the only team to score after the first period to defeat the Cowichan Valley Capitals 6-3. Tied 3-3 after 20 minutes Langley scored once in the second period and twice in the third. Matt Ius led the way for the Chiefs with two goals and two assists.
