The Vernon Vipers are the defending back-to-back national champions. This season's team will feature 16 new regulars and has 12 players born in 1992 or 1993 as opposed to 11 players born in 1991 or 1990. Known for their defence, three of their six "20-year-olds" are blueliners and will play infront of a 1991 second-year netminder who last season set the British Columbia Hockey League record for lowest goals against average.
