Second year Silverbacks defenceman Charlie Vasaturo has committed to Union College. About to start his 20-year-old season the Sewell, New Jersey resident will be off to Schenectady, New York for the 2011/2012 campaign. Last year the 6'3" 210 pound rearguard played in all 60 games scoring seven goals with 19 helpers and 70 penalty minutes.The Dutchmen play in the NCAA Division I Eastern College Athletic Conference where they finished third in the regular season behind Yale and Cornell last season. In the Conference tournament Union lost to Cornell in the Championship game. Former Silverbacks' Luke Cain, Ryan Forgaard, and Kelly Zajac currently play for Union.
