In Penticton at the South Okanagan Events Centre the Salmon Arm Silverbacks (6-1-0-0) survived a late third period rally to defeat the Vees (3-3-0-0) by a score of 6-5. Trailing 1-0 and not yet recording a shot on goal the Silverbacks gained momentum midway through the first frame with a power play goal and added two more tallies late in the first to take the lead for good. Penticton got a goal back quickly in the second only to have Salmon Arm respond with three goals for a second straight period and a 6-2 advantage. The Vees rallied in the final stanza to pull within one but could not find the equalizer in the final two minutes.
In Langley at the Events Centre the Trail Smoke Eaters (5-2-0-0) defeated the Chiefs 4-2 for the team's third straight victory. Taking advantage of nine power play opportunities the Smoke Eaters scored twice while having to kill off three penalties of their own. Trail's top line led the way with Scott Jacklin getting in on all four goals with one tally and three assists while Sam Mellor scored twice.
