In Trail at Cominco Arena the Smoke Eaters took over top spot in the Interior Conference by defeating the Cowichan Valley Capitals 6-1. Trail's powerplay and top line once again led the way with three man-advantage markers and nine points combined from Travis St. Denis, Sam Mellor, and Scott Jacklin.
In Coquitlam at the Sports Centre the Express exploded in the second period to defeat the Surrey Eagles 5-1. Tied 0-0 Coquitlam tallied three consecutive power play goals and four markers in total to break the game wide open. Brad Reid and Destry Straight led the way with four point nights each.
In Nanaimo at Frank Crane Arena the Victoria Grizzlies rallied late to force extra time and defeated the Clippers 4-3 in double overtime. Leading 1-0 the Grizzlies gave up three goals in the first three minutes of the third period. The 3-1 deficit lasted until five minutes left when Victoria scored their second followed by the tying goal with a little over a minute left in the game.
