Salmon Arm Silverbacks forward Bryce Gervais is in his rookie season with the club and has eight goals and 13 points with very little power play time in 19 games. The Battleford, Saskatchewan resident started the season on a tear with eight points in his first seven games but then cooled off with only one point in his next nine before collecting four points in his last three contests. The 5'8" 150 pounder is very shifty and has exceptional puck handling ability while not being afraid to throw what weight he does have around.
Last season with the Prince Albert Mintos in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA league Bryce potted 36 goals along with 70 points in 43 games. Also with the Mintos in 2008/2009 Gervais finished with 19 goals and 33 points in 41 contests.
Salmon Arm Silverbacks General Manager and Head Coach Tim Kehler discusses one of his team's best performances of the season, playing well against strong competition, a shaky start for his new goaltender, and trading Josh Monk for Michael Krgovich.
Victoria Grizzlies Co-General Manager & Head Coach Victor Gervais discusses running into penalty trouble, new defenceman Bruin McDonald, shock over Matt Ginn not making Team Canada West, adding a couple of 20-year-olds, and Tanner McGaw's second start of the season. The Grizzlies had a six game winning streak snapped in Penticton on Tuesday night.
