Night 14

In Prince George at the Coliseum in a power play filled game the Salmon Arm Silverbacks defeated the Spruce Kings 2-1. With over 20 minutes combined on the man advantage the 'Backs scores twice in seven oppurtunities while holding the Sprucies scoreless on seven chances. Defenceman Charlie Vasaturo scored both S.A. goals while Kris Moore's shutout bid was ruined with 11 seconds left and P.G.'s goaltender on the bench.

In Trail at Cominco Arena the Smoke Eaters scored with 21 seconds left in double-overtime to defeat the Vernon Vipers 3-2. Reiging Player of the Week Kiefer Smiley was once again outstanding in recording 46 saves. Scoring first in the second period Vernon took a short lead before falling behind 2-1 and eventually tying the game half way through the third.

In Penticton at the South Okanagan Events Centre the Vees scored throughout to defeat the Cowichan Valley Capitals 7-3. A pair of Joey's in Benik and Laleggia led the way for Penticton with four points a piece as their time scored twice in the first and third periods along with three goals in the second.

In Quesnel at the Twin Arenas all scoring took place in the first period as the Surrey Eagles defeated the Millionaires 2-1. After falling behind 1-0 the Eagles responded with two goals before going to the dressing room for the first intermission. Surrey did score the game winning goal on the power play but finished one-for-nine while not allowing one against on the penalty kill in five Quesnel oppurtunities.

In Merritt at the Nicola Valley Arena the Langley Chiefs scored six times in the second period to defeat the Centennials 9-5. After Merritt erased a two goal deficit to tie the game at three after one period it was all Langley in the second with six unanswered. Two of the six came on the power play with another one short handed to wipe out the one goal allowed on 11 penalty kills by the Chiefs.

In Nanaimo at Frank Crane Arena a Clippers penalty shot was stopped by the Powell River Kings with one second left in double-overtime to solidify a 1-1 tie. Trailing 1-0 Nanaimo tied the game halfway through the third period on the power play to force extra time.
