In Vernon the Prince George Spruce Kings (3-15-0-2) snapped an eight game losing streak with a 3-2 overtime victory over the Vipers (10-5-1-3). PG responded to giving up two second period goals in two minutes with two of their own later in the second three minutes apart. In a game of few penalties the Sprucies scored twice in four power play oppurtunities while killing off two Vernon man-advantages. 1992 born Surrey resident Kirk Thompson recorded his first win with a 39 save performance.
In Merritt the Centennials (4-10-0-3) scored three times in the third period to defeat the Quesnel Millionaires (4-12-1) 4-1. Struggling with discipline the Millionaires were shorthanded eight times and gave up a powerplay goal compared to only two man-advantages. Overall for the season the Mills have been shorthanded 30 more times than on the PP. For Merritt it was their third win in their last four games after only one win in their first 13.
In Surrey the Eagles (11-7) swept a home-and-home series with the Langley Chiefs (12-4-0-2) after a 6-4 victory. During the game both teams had two goal leads erased before the Eagles went ahead for good with two minutes remaining in the contest.
