In West Kelowna at Royal LePage Place the Penticton Vees (10-4) won their fifth game in a row by defeating the Westside Warriors (5-6-1-1) 2-1 in overtime. After trading power play goals three minutes apart in the first period the game remained 1-1 until halfway through the first extra session. Defenceman Joey Laleggia scored both Penticton goals to extend his point streak to five games in which he has five goals and 13 points. Both goaltenders were solid with Joel Rumpel making 32 saves for the win and Kevin Boyle turning aside 32 for the loss.
In Port Alberni at the Weyerhaeuser Arena the Victoria Grizzlies (6-4-0-1) won their third game in a row by defeating the Alberni Valley Bulldogs (6-3-1-0) 3-2. Falling behind 2-1 halfway through the third period Victoria scored twice in the next three minutes to take the lead. For the Grizzlies it was their second win over the Bulldogs in the last five days.
