In Salmon Arm the Silverbacks (12-6) scored three times in the second period to defeat the Powell River Kings (12-4-1-1) 3-2. Trailing 1-0 the 'Backs offence came to life in the middle stanza and held onto a one goal lead for the final 15 minutes of the game. In a game with only four penalties called the lone power play goal stood up as the winner. Making his debut 1992 born Medicine Hat resident Chase Martin made 33 stops for the victory. The loss was Powell River's first in regulation in ten October contests and it was also the team's fourth game in five days.
In Penticton the Alberni Valley Bulldogs (8-4-1-1) defeated the Vees (12-5-0-1) 3-2 in double overtime. With both teams holding the lead in the first two period the game would remain tied at two for 35 minutes until the winner with less than a minute left in the second extra session. 1990 born Prince Rupert resident Frank Slubowski made 32 saves for the victory.
In Trail the Smoke Eaters (12-6-0-1) swept a two game mini-series with the Prince George Spruce Kings (2-15-0-2) after a 4-1 victory. Falling behind 1-0 two minutes into the game the Smokies scored four unanswered to close out the contest. Trail has now won three in a row while the Sprucies have dropped eight straight.
In Vernon the Vipers (10-5-1-2) scored a season high in goals with a 8-1 victory over the Quesnel Millionaires (4-11-1). 1990 born Vernon resident and captain David Robinson led the way with a hattrick.
In West Kelowna the Westside Warriors' (7-8-1-1) up and down season continued with a 5-3 loss to the Merritt Centennials (3-10-0-3-). Trailing 3-2 the Cents took control of the game with two goals in the second period and added an insurance marker in the third. With seven points in their last seven games Merritt was led by 1991 born Revelstoke resident and Robert Morris University commit Jeff Jones with a goal and three points.
In Langley the Surrey Eagles (10-7) scored three power play goals to defeat the Chiefs (12-3-0-2) 5-3. 1990 born Richmond Hill, Ontario Jeff Vanderlugt registered a hattrick while 1990 born Langley resident and RIT commit Bradley McGowen finished with four points. The Eagles had ten power plays compared to the Chiefs four.
In Duncan the Cowichan Valley Capitals (6-11-0-1) won a home-and-home series with the Nanaimo Clippers (5-6-1-2) after a 4-2 victory. 1990 born forwards Mike Hammond and Jordan Grant from Victoria and Ladysmith led the way with four and three points respectivley.
